How I Work: Transforming Medical Communications from Brief to Final Product

At Medcopywriter, we specialise in turning complex medical information into clear, engaging, and accurate communications. Our process is meticulous and tailored to each project's unique needs. Here's an inside look at our medical copywriting process – from the initial brief to the delivery of the final product.

Receiving the Brief

Our journey typically begins with an initial brief from the client. This brief is crucial as it lays out all the essential details - background, audience, objectives, deliverables, mandatories, metrics, and timelines. Understanding these elements allows us to tailor our approach to meet specific project requirements.

Research

With the brief in hand, the next step is in-depth research. This involves delving into medical publications and guidelines to gather the most current and relevant information. This research is the foundation upon which we build our content strategy, ensuring accuracy and relevancy in our writing.

Drafting and Client Review

After thorough research, we create the first draft of the content using Word or PowerPoint, accompanied by an annotated reference pack. This draft is then sent to the client for review. Client feedback is integral to our process, and we work closely with them to refine and perfect the content.

Revisions and Editing

Based on the client feedback, we enter the revision phase. We allow for up to three rounds of revisions, ensuring that every piece of content is polished and aligns perfectly with the client's vision and objectives.

Copy Finalisation and Artwork Development

Once the copy is approved, we move on to the artwork stage. Here, we meticulously check the layout to ensure that all the copy is correctly presented. This step is crucial in ensuring that the final product is not only informative but also visually appealing. A final QC involves fact-checking any claims against the references.

Delivery and Follow-up

The final stage involves actioning any client amends quickly and delivering the finished product. Our commitment to excellence doesn’t end with delivery; we follow up to ensure client satisfaction and to make any necessary adjustments.
