Experience

I'm a postdoctoral scientist with a PhD in biochemistry from Imperial College London. Before I became a freelance medical copywriter, I worked in medical journalism and STM publishing for 5 years. I have a strong agency background, working with some of the leading medical communications companies in London.

EXPERIENCE: My freelance medical copywriting business started in 2005. Before this, I worked as a medical writer at various healthcare advertising agencies across London. I also have experience working as a medical journalist and as a copy editor and proofreader at STM journals including Nature, Clinical Science and the Biochemical Journal.

QUALIFICATIONS: PhD Biochemistry, Imperial College London (1996-1999); BSc Applied Biology (First class), University of Greenwich (1991-1995).

MEMBERSHIPS: I am a member of the European Medical Writers Association, the Association of British Science Writers, and a Foundation Trust member at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
